I tried to get a smog test today and was denied because of my exhaust (invidia n1) anyone know of a place in san jose/ milpitas area that will test with exhaust or do I really have to put my stocker back on?

Cat-back shouldn't matter

 

If you have other mods done to the car besides just a cat-back exhaust then they can deny you. The cat-back is only going to change the sound of the exhaust, it won't affect any of the SMOG equipment portions of the exhaust.

 

Too bad the guy everybody knew about off commercial got shut down..

I have no other mods, he told me i needed an smog exempt sticker.. I found some place near my house that will do it but there machine was damaged due to some truck with some big tires that was on there..

 

That's BS - no CARB number is required for anything south of the cat.
