Skunked....
so my roommate goes to his friend's house and their dog gets skunked while it was in the back yard..
for some dumba$$ reason, they let the dog back in the house, so now he reaks of the foul odor.
I've tried lysol and fabreeze, but there still a faint smell of it in the house...
any other ideas??

Spraying acidic solutions (vinegar, etc) can help counteract skunk spray because it is alkaline (basic).
-after time, it will evaporate, because the skunk musk is also volatile.

wash the dog in tomatoe juice with about a half cup of vinegar.
Then just air the house out and spray a mix of apple vinegar/water on the things the dog has layed on and wait it out at a local movie theatre.
I hate skunks. When I first moved to fremont I lived on the hills by niles. In this dump of a place. Found a skunk in my room once...lucky no spray. They can't see so well so I just backed out and gave him time to do his thing and leave on his own. And once while sitting and checking my mail I had once walk up and start rubbing on my leg...I nearly reached down and picked it up cause i thought it was a cat til I looked down. Ahh....that one still gives me the chills. One of my neighbors was coming out the door when I waved them back in....they took off so fast when the looked at what I was pointing at....haaaaa.
Great memories of that old dump house. Least the rent was cheap.

mainly I'm just worried about the smell in the house...
I left some windows open before I left today, so hopefully it'll air out...

When your buddy's out of the apartment, move all his crap outside exactly how it's organized in his bedroom. Take a nice ****, save it and rub it into all his stuff. then **** on everything and rub his face in it. Tell him his rents due and kick his *** out. Your roomates are morons tommy
*tomato juice and vinegar. I got nailed by a skunk when i was duck hunting as a kid and i took a bath in it. Scrub Scrub! Clean the dog througly then keep febreezing your personal crap and it will eventually go away.
