its not the future, news groups are where its always been.

and am I the only one that is happy that all these torrent sites are getting nuked? Everyone thinks that the Torrent sites are the devil and keeps the news groups out of the spotlight

too obscure and hard to use. Johnny downloader will not understand how to find, download, and reassemble newgroup postings.

haha, I see your point. Although it's not really hard, it's not necessarily as convenient as 1) Search, 2) Click to download torrent.

On the other hand, newsgroups can provide fully assembled files. So you would 1) Grab, 2) watch. It would occasionally do away with the need to re-assemble/merge a zillion rar files.
