So how is the shifting? Is it smother than the stock wrx tranny, or is it the same feeling as the stock tranny?

Yep we even offer half ones too

Actually the breakdown on the tranny install is this,

$2600 for the RA gearset installed (if the 3/4th synchro is dust then we charge the SOA cost on them)

The remaining balance was flywheel, shifter bushings and Tax.

Mike

P.S Actually I think the RA cars had 3 letters in front of them which unless I am mistaken would make this a STI tranny as well

That's too bad that you reuse parts from the stock, (read: BROKEN) tranny.

And 3 weeks! I was going to crap over 3 days! Ugh...maybe I should do this mod premptively. Mike is there a "discount" if we return a perfectly functional tranny?

We only reuse the parts (other than gears, shift fork etc) that are fully serviceable and check out, anything that is in the slightest suspect is changed for new.

3 weeks downtime is due to certain lead times associated with gearsets and one of the replacement parts (in this case the 3rd/4th synchro).

Typically the downtime is 1 day as we have the trannies prebuilt and available, reality of things at the moment is that demand out ways the amount of available gearsets (SOJ will have no more RA 3rd gears until 5/20)

Sorry Eric our pricing is based on receiving a core back from you, it really matters not the condition of it as long is it's all there (unlike the majority of dealer denied warranty claims that seem to come with missing pieces).

Mike
