Yes, Konis are inserts which require you cut up a set of stock struts.

It's not a Subaru but it's very similar process. If you ever want to go back to stock springs, I'd recommend finding another set of struts, since I had to take my struts and get the perch cut so the Ground Controls fit so it looks like

ive always liked ground control coilovers with a good set of shocks. worked great on a couple of cars that i had in the past.
