Should I pay off my car or...

trade it in and put the money I was gonna use for payoff towards a new (different) one?

I want a wagon... WRX, Legacy GT, whatever... well, almost whatever

02BlackWRX- I don't really care whether it's a manual or automatic if it's a wrx, if not I prefer a manual. Living in S.F. the 4EAT is really nice to have.

Remember you'll only get ~16k for the trade in at the dealer, if that.

I was going to trade my WRX for an STi, but you end up flushing SO much money. I'd basically end up spending $18k out of pocket to drive basically the same car.

If I did it, I'd sell it private party first.
