Should Gruppe-S warranty my clutch?

We went out to the track....

I did one easy easy launch... 2.4 60ft i think...shifting real slow...and shifting under redline @ about 7k or so...just tryying to feel the car out...making sure it has no misfires or funny stuff...first pass 12.1@ 126.5mph

Second pass:
Still a real soft launch...but this time i shifted normal ans went to redline...about 7500 rpm or so...

As soon as the car got into 3rd gear the motor spun the clutch...no noise..no smoke...no smell...just death of a clutch..the POS Exedey hyper single JUNK

Mike sure setup/tuned the car great, the car drives amazing...+1 for the crew @ Gruppe-S.

The new clutch will be in soon

I owe the guys @ the shop for doing this car for me
WOW is all i can say.

12.1 with conservative shifting and not to redline? .. very nice, and yea ... why did you get hypersingle. With your power a twin plate clutch is pretty much a must. You'll get a better time too.

well, I would not say gruppe-s should warranty the clutch, but I would follow up with Exedy about it if they claim the clutch can handle 600+ crank HP.

How many miles did you have on the clutch?
If I'm not mistaken there is a break in period that is supposed to be observed.
I've had friends take new clutches out to the drags and roast them because they had no mileage on them...

You need a twin-plate. I don't know who suggested you get a super single.
