GST FTW! Was able to get in on Monday.
I realize it is the accessory belt (brainfart at 7am).
And yea that was my stuff at GST and it's for sale in norcal classifieds

This is the damage

you can see the reason is that bolt that holds the alternator cover was the culprit. Someone over tightened it and was rubbing on belt.

wow just got home a few hrs ago....spent 28 hrs of driving in 2 days, 6 hrs of sleep...bright and early for work tomorrow!

ahh thats just your alternator belt...we always have them in stock. But for sure get it taken care of as you will lose a charge on your system....Did I read in post one you thought it was the Timing belt? timing belt is behind the covers, This pic is not of that 
this is not as big of a deal as that, this is more common item to need replacing

Yea, wasn't thinking. Replaced both belts today when I had some time.
Nothing like waking up late and exhausted for work and then hearing that noise once you start up the car...
