Family members outback got attacked by rats, won't start and there car seems to be in limp mode (flashing cruise). I am certain they ate a sensor as one was literally found in the nest in the engine bay. Parked on a rural property.
Anyways the car is mainly used for trekking around at this point not the most beautiful but I need it diagnosed and some sensors replaced for a fair price.
Any ideas where to go? I hear everywhere is backed up months on work.
Thanks guys.
Usually I go to EQ but I've heard they are insanely busy

Yeah, all the shops seem to be pretty busy. It takes me a few weeks to get an appointment anywhere but the dealer and I don't go to the dealer except for parts now. I would start by getting someone to scan the code if possible, at least it might tell you what the issue is. Electrical can be tough to troubleshoot. I had a weird transmission issue on the old GF8 years back and took it to Garage One in SJ. They were able to troubleshoot it down to one sensor and fix it for a decent price, might check with them.
