i immediately turn on my police scanner and it turns out a campus police car was shot at...

big manhunt around downtown hayward.

i head helos flying around 2:30pm.

they find similar abondoned green cherokee at the wimbeldon wood appts.

This means a Great deal of people currently have degrees from a school that no longer exists! That is weird!!!!!!

 

to me... it wil ALWAYS be cal state hayward...

anyways... my regular police scanner batt's DIED!!!!!!!! and today i was too lazy to pack away the power supply for it... ARGGGGG...

so i can only listen to my ham radio, which can pick up the campus freq (154.890) and so far, light traffic now.

west loop road was reopened about 15 minutes ago...

still no reports on suspect(s)

you know whats trippy, if i had school today, that would have been the time i would be leaving from school, and thats the same exit i take too.

 

yeah, MWF schedule, people get out around 2:40pm and that intersection can be backed up.

so far, no new news on UPD freq so things seem to be calming down.

hope they send out a final bulletin on this...

in concord is the "first" satellite campus.

now there's one in downtown oakland too...

 

and to top it off... around 8:20pm, someone decided to play a prank on everyone and pull the fire alarm.

takes about 30 minutes for the hayward FD to turn off the alarms.

granted it was nice and cool outsite.

talked to a couple CSUH PD dudes. including the guy who's car was shot at...

sigh...
