Shell gas
Shell does me good. Best mileage to date was on a tank of Shell: 25mpg.
However, I do notice the loss of power whenever I switch brands. I only switch to 76 if I want to pump 92 or 96 octane.

Some research from various sites...
BP owns BP (of course), ampm/ARCO, Amoco
ExxonMobil owns Exxon, Mobile,
Valero owns Valero, Beacon, Total
ConocoPhilips owns 76
ChevronTexaco owns Chevron, Texaco
RottenRobbie owns Rotten Robbie
Royal Dutch/Shell owns Shell
Upon the merger of Exxon and Mobil, Exxon had to sell off refineries and stations, they did so to Valero.
BP is still around in the east, but seem to have left the western states.
Rotten Robbie uses all these companies refineries, and can use that to their advantage to price competitively, says http://www.rottenrobbie.com/html/faq.html
Feel free to correct me...
