Lightbulb she slumbers, but i must still mod

Despite not having any gears to drive with, I decided to paint the spare set of lights I bought awhile back. The orange bits have been removed and the light is one of those fancy ones that is silver on the outside, but lights up orange.

I used a black metallic paint which had a hint of anthracite in it. My quest for anti-bling continues. I did install these but I havent taken pics of the car yet so here is a photoshopped pic with the Hella Black Magic's I hope to get on the car soon as well:

Eventually the front plate will go again (I got a ticket for no front plate awhile back). And yes, I know there are a couple rocks in the air dam, lol...

The headlights are a definite improvement over the stock appearance. I've been wanting to do the headlight mod to my car, but I just haven't found the time to do so. Maybe someone would be interested in trading me a pair of painted headlight for my stock headlights + cash.

did you use a gloss paint? IMO, low-gloss/flat paints work-out the best.

i thought about it but figured i wanted to match the shine of the paint on the car normally. when i've seen the flat/semiflat paint in lenses before it just made them look greyer. it was so easy to do if it starts to bug me i can just paint my original set and swap just the painted piece in.

Looks damn good. I normally like the flat black look too, but in this case, the gloss seems to match the car better. Very nice.

I used flat-black and after a year they have indeed faded into a greyish color.
