70 - 80 k miles seems like pretty normal life expectancy for a strut, so I'm happy with how they held up. Same thing goes for the brake pads. I got 62k miles out of them - including one season running R compound tires.

I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Whiteline Grp 4, although Lawrence at AHQ was raving about the Cusco Zero 2s. Anyone know how they compare? Price-wise they are similar (although the Cuscos come with the p/b upper mount).

I'll probably go with the 20-22-24 rear anti-roll bar and try and get some of the new mounts as you suggested.

The Whitelines would be more street and daily driver friendly, although the Cuscos will probably handle a little better at the limit on a SMOOTH surface. Meaning that where we autocross the Cuscos would be the ones for Oakland, Marina or Atwater but for Candlestick or GGF.....I'm guessing a little more compliance isn't a bad thing . Due to the NON-inverted design of the Group4s, I'd expect them to last longer before a rebuild and run quieter.

For strut tops with the G4s, you can use the STI (or even stock) mounts in back. For the fronts you can also use STI or stock, but the extra camber allowance up there is nice. That said, if you're gonna be putting more-or-less a street alignment in front (say, less than -1.5 deg camber) then I'd probably just go with the STI tops.

BTW, with the G4s be sure you get PN 1K4039. I have 1K4006, which is the "older" G4 design....and does not permit as much negative camber up front.

Ryball : yep, the "speed" headlights made all the difference :rotfl:

Sounds like a good plan. I do ~18k miles a year so I don't want anything too radical, and adjusting it back and forth for each event sounds too much like hard work. Thanks for the info on the PN 1K4039. I'll watch out for that when I'm looking.

I sold out, Ed. As soon as he asked me to drive that thing I couldn't pass it up.

Don't blame you there, lots more stick than a street tire car I am sure!!!

So are you gonna be co-driving it next year or was this a one-shot deal?

I may drive another car, maybe Mert's, but if they ask again, I'm in! I just need more foam. I am also moving to Sacto, but I like where the SF region runs, I will probably stick around here.
