My wife was 18 when we started dating. A senior in high school. I was 24. How do you think the school would have viewed my showing up at the prom? Do you think I would have been comfortable? The school? Other students?

This is all bull****.

At that same time...well I'd hit the **** out of it too, not that he'll get the chance, but he still gets props LOL.

My issue is this... ask a girl that you know to the prom. Man up. Yeah it sucks to get told no. But that's part of it. This one is nothing. Gets told no... so what... it was funny. I can't figure out why in the hell she said yes.

Part of growing up is the prom process. Trying to figure out who to ask. Getting nervous. Asking... getting told yes or sometimes no. Etc.

My junior year I took a friend of mine. Had a blast until my buddy ran over her foot in front of Pizza My Heart.

My senior year I missed my ultimate crush by 5 minutes. I **** you not. I called her and she was like... so and so literally just asked. I said yes already. But I'd rather go with you... but I can't back out. Blah blah. So I asked another chick I had been talking too. She wasn't vibing going to prom at all. Said no. Asked a chick I used to hook up with and she was linked up with someone else because I lagged. Ended up taking a hot sophomore cheer leader.

Between the time I asked and prom I got kicked out of the house and sent to the dorms. Meant I had a curfew and tons of limitation. Ruined the vibe. Was a damned disaster. Damn near got in a fight with some douche bag. Acted like a moody *****. Was terrible. 10 years later I was heading to a party of a bunch of old school folks. She was there. Found out I was coming and bounces. LOL! Tells you how bad it was.

Crappy thing was... I was a pretty good looking dude and had tons of friends. If I wasn't such a ***** I coulda went with whoever in the hell I wanted.

It's part of the process.




But like I said before... chance of a lifetime. Might as well enjoy it. I hope they have a good time and it doesn't ruin prom for the rest of the school. Lots of girls and guys really look forward to it... prom king and all that jazz. The high school drama... he's instantly the cool guy with the supermodel.

Anyways, you just need a signed slip and turn it in on time if you want someone older who does not attend the high school to go to prom with you.
