a red supra pulled over on Dwight by a cop with the hood open and the cop writing a ticket. supra didnt even look modded except maybe exhaust. the cop watched me the whole way as i drove by. are bekeley cops cracking down?

 

was it UCPD, Berkeley PD, or the Sheriff guy. If it was the sheriff guy in the blue cruiser he pulls everyone over for everything. dont know if there is any crack down but the two times ive gotten pulled over ive only gotten a warning.

I actually was working on some small stuff on my car this weekend with my hood popped when BPD stoped and asked me if I was modded. I was like WTF, I wasnt doing ****!

Then he got out and said he had a regular WRX and wanted to know the best way to start modding it. I nearly shat my pants. We shot the **** for about 5 minutes, he got a call. We talked some more then 5 minutes later he had to leave to take that call. He reccomended that I go to redwood road to fully test the suspension of the STi, and that I should put on my front plate because some cops are dicks, lol. He said a lot of his fellow officers have modded 350zs, mustangs, etc, with no front plates.

But on friday night I was scared as ****, driving down telegraph, 2 BPD officers posting, with my friend passed out in the front seat and my uber loud HKS exhaust, they gave me a mean stare down. They didnt bother me and I went to get some top dog

i think that is the guy who pulled me over the first time i got a warning, he let me off because he knew all about the WRX and how cool they were. he said his friend raced them or something. Was he nice asian guy with a shaved head?

i had a UCB cop sign off a modified exhaust ticket. he's cool, and he has a modded wrx. but he said he only go with SPT parts from the dealer.

i had a buddy with a 240sx+sr20det swap. a UCPD guy pulled him over for his exhaust and threatened to have him pop his hood saying "i bet you have a SR swap". but he got a call and had to bounce.....

i had a swapped hatchback with loud-*** exhaust in berkeley for 3 years and i never had ANY hassle from the po's. if anything, there was this asian UCPD guy that was waaaay cool. i was doing a photoshoot on campus and was just wondering what mods i had on my civic since he used to have a prelude back in the day.

UC Cops pull over for that stuff and about 4 total BPD cops the rest dont care about modded cars, bikers, skateboarding... those kind of things. I think 2 cops have WRX one with a white one and another with a Silver one, both are stock. Its actaully suprising how many cars, like performance ones BPD has. One guy has a catless/highflow cat S4, 03 cobra shiot like that. Do you know which Cop was pulling over the Supra?
