I would love to put one of my GoPros in my car, but I'm afraid I will forget to take it down. I just use a cheap Sony Bloggie right now with a windshield mount. Nothing has happened so far for me as well.
I only use my gopro because I havent bought an actual DVR yet lol. Once I do, ill use my gopro to catch other angles, maybe angles of me driving as DVR is pointed straight ahead. I sometimes feel that the dvr or gopro can be a theft repellent, but then again they can smash your window and take it as well...... Planning on getting a DVR with a motion sensor function.
