Long pants/No shorts and yes, closed toe shoes are a must.

if there is anyone who is going out to the track but not driving, who owns a pyrometer, and would be willing to log some tire temps for me during the 1st Red group session (maybe like three-fourths of the way thru in the hot pit) it would be much appricated.

-or- if some one owns said pyrometer and could show one of my fellow i-club friends how to log that would be cool too.

please send me a pm or whatnot

thanks,

Lowball :afro:

All of our gear is going to be elsewhere meeting us for another event but I would be happy to take tire temps and pressures for you if someone has the equipment at the track.

Some one makeapicture thread already!

It was a blast...

Thanks to Joe and Subydude.com for sponsoring this event. Thanks to Unlimited Laps for managing it. Thanks to all the folks who showed up, including those who came just to watch/support/take pictures. Thanks to all the instructors, I know that that Mick was great in getting me started and Christian Miller for going out with me on my last session really helping me push to the limits.

No incidents (well, I kinda flew off Turn 5 into the dirt one my last run, but it wasn't so bad). It was hot, about 90F, but manageable and the track was grippy in the morning loosening up with heat in the afternoon.

For those who did not go you seriously missed out on a great day of driving!

it was FUN! i was actually expecting it to be a lot hotter, but the breeze helped cool things down a lot.

i'll probably have pictures hopefully by sunday. shot over 1200 images i think. oh, thanks vennis for the ride. that ride made me want to do some trackdays, but it also made me realize i'll suck as a driver. i'll stick with shooting.

Ha Ha... You went through T5 Christian Miller style! You did great for a first day at Thunderhill and your car is very nicely setup. I hope I see you at some future events.

All in all, there were some pretty fast Subaru's out there and most importantly nobody had an incident that I am aware of (except some mechanicals).

Cheers,
-- Nick
