I bet I could get rich by setting up a TARG (Touch A Real Girl) booth at one of those conventions. I'd charge those Melvins $15 to hold a girl's hand for 5 seconds. I'd probably have to set up a portable cold shower booth next door so those social misfits could get back to "foam fighting" afterwards.

I was feeling sorry for myself... This made me feel better. Thanks, Huck!

Wut duh... Two things pop into mind, my cousin and I beating the **** out of each other when our granparents gave us Nerf Fencing gear (haha, sure I'll just pop the little tags down) and my neighbor who would keep dogs out of his yard with a compound bow and golf ball-tipped arrows.. "twaaaang HARF!"

my buddies old room mate is WAY into that crap. He'd have people from his clan over the house to practice and they'd beat the crap out of each other.

It's actually kind of gratifying to hit someone as hard as you can and not kill them. I can see how people get into it. But some of these people are just way to into this. I mean these guys plan their whole lives around it. All they do is think of ways to make their armor better. Their weapons better. Tactics. All that isht. It's nutty.

Anyone know where I can find a chain mail shirt, or a full suit of armour? I have always wanted to sit in my cube dressed like a Knight and then seeing Garden State made me want one even more. I have a sword, just need the armour. Last time I checked, a shirt was around $200 tho..

But yeah, sparring with pads is a blast when you are against someone that's challenging. Pretty personally rewarding (not to mention good practice) to go at someone with all you got. Unless you live in the Mission or something, you never really get that chance.
