It is wholly possible that we are the most technological/evolved life in this Universe.

That being said, I would then just feel sorry for the Universe.

if intelligent aliens existed, we'll have no chance of meeting them without the ability to travel faster than light.

biggest proof that there is intelligent life beyond our planet = they haven't tried to contacted us.

Even if intelligent life has observed us; why would they want to contact us?

Let me ask you this, have you ever had the inclination to 'contact' the ants the live in your backyard? This is comparable to what far more evolved and technologically advanced life would consider us.
