Honestly, if you're still in high school, it's still too early for you to know what you want to do in the future. Don't deny yourself the opportunity to branch out and take classes that will expose you to new things. Who knows, you might find out there's a whole area of study which you never considered but actually love. I told myself I wanted to be an electrical engineer all through high school. It wasn't until I actually began taking engineering courses in college that I realized I hated it. Failing my engineering classes was almost a blessing in disguise. I was forced to explore other majors, and I actually settled on two that I never would have dreamed about studying in high school (economics and political science).

I'm not saying you shouldn't have an idea of what you want to study, but, try not to convince yourself that that is the only thing out there for you. Contrary to what some people say, life is long (unless you die prematurely, in which case, it is short and those people were right). By the time you graduate high school, you'll be 18 years old. The normal person works until they are 65. That means that even after you graduate college, you will be working for over 40 years. Think about it. You are going to be working for more than two times the amount of time you have been alive. Lots of things can change between now and then.
