School from 7:20 to 3:15 sucks it's my last year tho...I have 2 computer classes I have to sit through, they're completely pointless but I need the credits so whatever, and most the time I'm just looking around i-club how exciting is that haha

Yeah, there will be certain things i'll miss, but doin all this work sure ain't gonna be one of them haha

Night classes + 280 southbound traffic + no A/C in DM Hall where all my classes are in = temptation to drop out.

 

try waking up at 0430 going to work and getting home at 5:30 in the evening every day.i live 20 minutes from work i wont complain if i were you.

You're complaining about school from 7:20am to 3:15?! That probably doesn't even include your lunchtime or recesses man. You're occupied for less than 8hrs a day. That is normal - welcome to life. In fact, that is better than most "grown-ups" have it. I'd take that any freakin' day of the week. On some days, I have class from 9:30am to 12:20pm, work from 1pm-5:30pm, and then class again from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. I live 50 miles from school/work. I've got to get up at 7:30am just to make it to school on time, and then I don't get home until about 10pm, just to go to bed and do it all over again. Cry me a freakin' river....

By the way, high school is SUPER easy compared to anything else you'll do in life (I hope). College is a bit harder (but not much, depending on major), but you have more free time. On a "comfort-of-life" scale, I'd rate both high school and undergrad just about equally - that is, pretty freakin' sweet. Graduate school, on the other hand, is a completely different beast. People complaining about 8hr days need not apply....

take full advantage of it while you can.

 

i love school. it's fun. my busiest days are my best days. monday and wednesdays. is basically 11 hours of straight classes with one 45 minute break. 10:30am - 10pm. thursdays i have my reserve meeting. and tuesday nights and all day saturday and sunday are my fire academy days for the next 6 months. and also throw in whatever community service i can in between all that good stuff. im giving my job a 3 week notice tomorrow.


high school sucks. college is way better. harder but better.

Agreed. In my opinion, frats = paying money for a new identity and friends. When I was in college, I saw so many frat guys who were the magic-card playing losers in high school who all of a sudden thought that living in a house with 12 other dudes (because they never got laid in high school), drinking crappy beer (because they never drank in high school), getting a better haircut and wearing Abercrombie made them cool. Sororities, similarly, were primarily made up of church-going goody-two-shoes girls who wanted to break out of their shell, meaning, turning into a slore (a portmanteau combining **** + *****). What a joke. Of course, there is the occasional normal kid who gets fooled into thinking he is joining what he thought was a group of non-losers. The irony is that the same frat guys who chase sorority girls would've probably never given that same girl a second look in high school, and vice versa.
