SCCA Solo 2010 Championship Round 1 - 02/07/10
Who from I-club made it out yesterday?!
Was the smoothest boondoggle we've had in YEARS! Great course by Ben Martinez, and even though I was on little sleep, and had a new junormous rear sway bar on the car, I did well.
I have oversteer, beautiful oversteer once again. woot!
I'll post up more after lunch.
How did you guys do?
My times:
39.4 (with drift)
39.4
39.2

i'll say hi next time, gagan.
first time on r-comps... brand new r-comps so they were pretty slippery at first. the car felt awesome... grips like hell and it still rotates very well. it had so much more left in it, but i have to admit i was a little scurred. i have to keep changing the car so i don't run out of excuses for driver error. karlton will hopefully get me up to speed on driving with the new tires.
off the top of my head:
44.4
42.3
41.8
must... go... faster. i think next event will be much better for me.

damnit! I missed it!
so how does it go for actually competing? if you miss a race are you just screwed or do they count the races you've done versus the points you've earned?

44.1 was the best I could muster. First event of the Miata with the Tein Flexes and new tires.
I know some of it is "rust". I was backing off in some spots I shouldn't have. All my runs (all clean) were in the 44 range so at least I was consistent !

What's up Glen and Gagan!
Finally able to get on here. Switched browsers and now no crashing!
As for Boondoggle, I never used my brain to fix my mistakes, just drove harder and went slower. My first was my fastest, a 41.55X. But once the tires start to work and I figure out how to drive the current setup, I think I'll be able to get it together.
I still need to beat Hal.
I started beating him last season and then he got new suspension!

If your fastest lap was your first then something is going wrong....saying that I did see you Tokyo drifting through the timing lights so maybe that was your problem
