I live and work in San Francisco and I ride my bike to work.

That being said, I think Critical Mass is just about the WORST thing cyclists can do to foster good will from drivers. Critical Mass doesn't make drivers respect you, it makes them want to run you over.

+1 end critical mass in SF
Exactly! I bike on the street, but I HATE the bikers that think they own the road. "Share the road" goes both ways! To me, critical mass is the equivalent of PETA's red paint.

+1

if anything they should demonstrate they can share the road with motorist and gain respect. blocking traffic, and even blocking pedestrians isn't going to help win respect. sorry bicyclist, but i like the idea of ending critical mass.

Awesome. As a pretty avid cyclist myself, I am not a fan of more rules/laws but these douchebags have tried really hard to bring this upon themselves. I have a friend who participates in this and has no concept of what it must mean for some single mom or someone who is just trying to get home or into work let alone the violence and purposely caused damage.

YAY!!!!

F'in great news. I've almost gotten into an altercation on foot with a couple of cyclists that were "corking". They bait the public, yet act innocent when we get upset? Get a permit.
