I've been going to the event for several years, and have been a ranger since '00 there.. IMHO the rangers have become a little too.... soft? PC? . Perimeter is the wild west of BM... working perimeter is just #*%ing fun
. Pre-event, I took the car out to the open playa and played. the STi was stable on the playa at 110, slightly wobbly at 120, and scary as hell at 130... I made it to the blackrock (about 22mi from the event) in about 15 minutes... cackling and laughing the entire way
