Saw about 100 cops rolling up 880N this morning

Probably for the Memorial at Oracle. I would say about 80 of them had their lights on.

Traffic was sllllloooooowwww as rubberneckers slowed to watch.

Yeah its for the funeral services being held there today. I think the news said they expect 15k people at the services. They start services at 11am and go to 1:30pm but they opened the parking lot an hour ago and open the door to the place at 9am.. They expect traffic to be bad most of the day. News also said all of the OPD have the time off today to go to services so CHP is doing there patrolling and other areas are joining in to help the OPD out today.

On a funny note, I saw one douchebag riding in the carpool lane (green Focus sedan) who thought he was getting pulled over when a zillion cops showed up behind him with lights blazing.

I bet he's relieved that none of them actually stopped him.

It was like...
10 motorcycle cops lights on, riding double in the lane.

I think I saw maybe a couple hundred on the highway alone this morning, and hundred more parked at the coliseum, maybe even more. Lots of officers are coming from out of town in their patrol cars. All of them had their lights on. I saw a couple cars from Redding and even one with state of Oregon plates.

Yep, saw some on 238, a huge strip all lights on coming N on 880, and more coming across the Bridge on 92.
