sap or something?
So ... living in the east bay I park under a lot of random trees. Now i have all this crazy sap-like funk on my hood, roof etc. Any of you guys get this? I think a tree near my house has a chemical in-balance or somethin' cause it throws a ridiculous amount of sap on my car.
Can anyone with this problem suggest any solutions? It doesn't come off from a normal car wash & i don't want to pick at it too much @ scratch my paint.

Not if you use very little on a paper towel. You kinda feel the sap start to loosen up. I have a decent amount of wax/polish on my car maybe thats why I wasn't scared to do it. But wax the affected area as soon as you are done.
*edit* ohh... If you have a Non-Acetone Nail polish remover, try that first.

Saturating a cotton pad or ball with rubbing alcohol then rubbing vigorously usually works very well for me. You can also use the pre-packaged alcohol wipes too. It'll practically melt the sap off.
Add a bit of wax after you're done if you like.
