*cough* So ummmm about next Friday's in 'n out meet.....yeah, can't make it then either. So, latest issue, the custom elbow for the turbo needs to be welded, it's all measured great, but this morning (actually Friday morning) welder calls and says, "Oh btw I'm leaving and won't be back til Monday evening, going out of town." Soooo even when he does come back, even IF he did finish the welding on the elbow tues or wed, Steve is 100% busy finishing clutch install, and some other goodies, and then he leaves Wednesday for vacation until the following Monday. SooOOooOo, my car prob won't be 100% completed until around June 4th, maybe 5th. Gotta love welders disappearing on you right when you need them to finish one last piece before the mechanic goes on vacation.

well would would do it sooner but one of the people going is a teacher at a highschool so he has stuff to do and i have monday off so if i do the family thing sat and sun monday is all mine.

we have about 3 routes we are trying to pick from.

50 miles, 80 miles or 170 miles.

I'd like to do the loooooooong one but it depends how long wifey lets me out.

we are trying to keep it to 6 people cuz the roads are so twisty it gets a little cumbersome anymore than that. although anyone is welcome

the long one 170 miles starts in healdsburg goes over dry creek road. then we drive down the 1 for a little scenic route and then we cut over by hicks valley do a little more one and then do this crazy *** road that does this for about 40 miles 8888888888888S888S888S8888S888S8888S888S88S888.

I wasnt even able to find it on google maps. google makes it look like a dirt road but it is paved...poorly done, but paved. that one takes about 4 and a half hours

the 50 mile one goes hicks to 1 to ptown hwy to lucas and drops off in lucas. takes about 1 and a half hours

or the 80 mile one is a combo of the 2. the hicks valley to one and then crazy 88888S88888S888. takes about 2 and a half hours.

we were thinking of bbqing sometime in between maybe but like i said i will post more info manana

maybe thinking of leaving early like 8 or 9ish beat alot of people out that day.

p.s. if we do the 50 or 80 mile route more than 6 is fine but if we do the 170 thats when more than 6 gets to be alot

Hey guys,

It's my first time posting on this thread, and I'm not sure if you all meet in Petaluma still, but my team is going to be displaying our Subaru's, including our 1000HP STi, 2008 ESX STI and our World Challenge Speed GT ESX STI and doing a whole auto shop session at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma on June 2nd. I grew up in Petaluma, actually on a ranch off Old Adobe Rd. on the East Side of town, and graduated from Casa Grande way back in the day...and used to race at Sears Point's High School drags class every Wed night.

I would love to hook up with any local groups while we are there.
Our female driver contest winner Julie Stepan will be there as well.

If someone could shoot me an email of gatherings around June 2nd, I'd appreciate it. send to ali@esxmotorsports.com.

Our team will be in Jenson Motors in Napa, Sat May 31st and Stevens Creek on Sun Jun 1st, but only during the day time. We will be avail for the nights if somethings going on.

Thanks

Ali Afshar
