Sandblasting

Hey I was looking for a place that will sand blast my wheels. Anyone know of one in the bay area? I want to paint them myself, just hate doing the sanding. Also, i'm going to be installing both a coilover kit, and a clock replacement guage pack. Is there any tips you guys can give me while doing these installations?

Thanks,
Brett

Hey Man,

I'll talk to my step-dad about sand blasting your wheels. He knows a lot of people, and we might be able to get it done for free. (DVC hookup ;] )

hmm then i dont know... i would do them for $40 unpainted

But ive never sandblasted the paint off a wheel, i have a feeling it would take alot longer.

Sandblasting raw wheels usually takes like 1-2 hours a set depending on if they are a mesh or a 5 spoke.

maybe get them dipped in some aggressive chemicals?

Are these the stockers? I'm trying to get rid of the standard 02 wrx stockers in my garage, 4 rims, 3 with 95% tread tires. =)

i think its like 4ft wide, 2 tall and 2 deep. So a car wheel with tire is a comfortable size.

I can always tape up a curtain an blast in the open air, except i have to sweep up the sand every cycle.
