I just saw on tv Paul Tracy take a wrong turn, and then makes a stupid move on a blind turn and goes and gets right in front of another guy without checking traffic doing like 25 mph and gets run over. Fight breaks out afterwards.

Dang everybody getting hit on that u-turn lol

That is why I did not go. The touring cars were actully gaining and losing spots each lap vs chap cars, whoever started in front, finished in front.

with the touring cars, diffrent cars, diffrent suspension, diffrent wheels, diffrent engines, diffrent areodynamics. Much more insteresting IMO.

I'm pretty happy they televised it on channel 11.

Looks like a great race with lots of drama. Even a few battle with Sebastin.

I wanna see a budget touring car race... like the Grassroots $200X challenges. But maybe more like a $20k max.

1.44 mi

their lap times were 70 sec. That's freaking fast for a car that size.

I was snapping photos at Turn 1. Just, maybe, 15 mins earlier my buddy and I were debating going to pit row, and we decided not too. too bad.

They aired all the cussing that Tagliani and Tracy said since it was live TV. Tracy is a moron for not looking before re-entering.

Yeah I was working Turn 4, and saw that. The RSR S14 (maybe S15) was awesome. When they'd come by, we were using the black flag numbers to judge the guys. And giving them a low score they always tried harder the next time around. By Saturday evening, that RSR car was nearly clipping our number boards

Being covered in brake dust yesterday was fun when they were hitting the brakes coming down that straight into the hairpin... 10mins was all that was needed and you could feel the dust on your skin.

Good old Paul going back to the days when he was "psycho". Heck, it was obviously his mistake !

It sounds like this year's GP was a resounding success, especially in light of last year. Sure it's still not perfect, but it looks like it crossed the line into success territory. Considering the track drama, the fight, the kicking of the tire, etc, the drivers got to concentrate on the race itself rather than dealing with flaws of the venue.

BTW, whats the deal with the "cheating start" (Tracy?) (I heard bourdais quoted as saying something about cheating at the starting line)

I was at Turn 3, watched the Champ car race for about 10min, left to go the convention center to hang out with my friends and the drifters. cameout when the last race was over, then drifting again. i just hung around the drifters and lemans models, because they asked me too. =)
