Salesman at Steven's Creek wants to "race for slips"
I went to Steven's Creek Subaru a few weeks ago with a friend to buy a part for his WRX. As we were walking towards the parts dept. a salesman (big Armenian guy or something) approached us and asked if we "wanted to trade that thing in for a REAL WRX". My friend said "why? I wasn't aware I was driving a fake WRX".
Then the salesman said "I'm talking about an STi". Then proceded to ramble on about how he has an STi and it'll smoke my friend's WRX anytime, etc. He said he has 450WHP.
My friend said "good for you" then asked which turbo and engine management he was running, the guy paused for a second and said "uhh, stock turbo...but I have NOS..100shot". We just laughed at him and walked off. Then he got kinda irritated because we obviously weren't giving his "450WHP" STi the proper respect, and he said "you wanna race for slips bro"? My friend who drives a pretty modded WRX (VF22, 3" catless TBE, tuned ECUTEK, etc) got fed up and said "yeah, lets race..where's your STi"?!
The salesman replied "I dont have it here today". Disgusted with this jackass we just blew the moron off and left. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier that this guy said his STi was tuned at Vishnu and dyno'd. Anyone know who this person is? I'm sure lots of people here with non-STi WRX's would be able to hand him his *** and take his car if he is really stupid enough to race for slips, which I think he might just be. Anyone wanna stop by Steven's Creek? Ugh, I HATE everything about that dealership.

dunno, possibly report to the general manager or SOA? if i was personally insulted by a person who's supposed to represent Subaru while being a customer of Subaru, I would be pissed.
Another post proving that Stevens Creek Subaru is good for one thing only - abusing the hell out of new cars during your test drive 
That's where I tried a WRX before getting it from Carlsen and if/when I get some free time, I'll go abuse something else...

That guy is a moron. A few months ago a couple of friends and I went to Stevens Creek to drive an 04 WRX because one friend was considering getting one in the near future... We were talkin to a different salesman, but this guy T.S. comes up to us and starts talkin to us b/c I mentioned I owned a WRX myself, then he goes on about how all the forums suck and that UCKK has undercover cops searching our engine bays.
btw, stevens creek had a $3500 markup on regular 04 WRX's when I went there last...

i only know of TS because that guy came over to talk to me and to tell me how fast his car was, how he races it, how this, and how that...
oh well, got santa cruz to beat the original price (even with additional options) and might still get the color i initially wanted-that is if i get another STi
...come to think about it, i guess i got jacked after all... steven's creek subaru!!!

what an a**!!!just cause he "has" an sti where does he think it started from!it pisses me off that people who buy an sti just think that it's the best subaru,but the truth is that alot of other subies could smack down an sti with no prob!i say get a bunch of subie drivers go down there and hand him his a** infont of manny!let me know and i'll make the drive to laugh in his face!(and yes i do drive an sti )
