Man, that makes me want to run back to Diablo Subaru. They were only marked at $38k and the saleman said I better hurry or it would be gone!

Yeah, a steven's creek troll recommending Ron Price. Seems likely :P

I've only spoken with them a couple times, but found all the salespeople @ carlsen to be harsh and unhelpful. My biggest beef is with their service department. I've had so many problems, work performed incorrectly, incompetence, items stolen from my vehicle, outright lies from one of the service managers (granted, one who no longer works there), etc... I can't remember a single service visit where there wasn't *something* that went wrong.

Anyway, that's why I had little patience for rude salesmen, and it didn't take much to convince me to by my next vehicle elsewhere.

Hopefully my visits to the Ron Price service department will be far less eventful than my visits to Carlsen, but only time will tell.

If the hack job they did on my clutch is any indication, you'll find no satisfaction whatsoever. I'm NOT buying my new WRX there, even though they have exactly what I want and are right down the road.

Gino,
There appears to be a basic misunderstanding. You were told that to be on our waiting list that it would require a $500.00 deposit. All of our STIs are being sold at MSRP.

I reported that an STI sold at $40,000.00 in the bay area and apprarently you misunderstood and were not ready or able to put up the deposit which secures you an STI.

Oh, he was definitely willing and able to make the deposit. It was his understanding that you wanted $40k for it that sent him packing. Glad to hear that it wasn't true though.

For the sake of accuracy, Andreas is not me (lfungus). I just let him use my computer. I hope any misunderstanding has been cleared up. Gino, I received my STI engine and tranny mounts from you today. Thank you for the prompt service.
Sincerely,
Larry

andreas

for the record I went there to buy one and if I cant , put me on the list. I told you as I looked you in the eye that deposit is okay, But then you pulled the $40 k bit on me and then I I raised my hand in the air and even Robert was surprised, so you turned and said ask the owner in the office.

Why do you lie and save face man. I am real so dont change the story here and make me look silly.

I was a salesman for 7 years and owned a autobroker buisness for 6 years so dont pull my leg.

I like Carlsen Subaru dont get me wrong, just dont get your panties in a twirl when you get a hot car is all. We are not all dumb a$$e$ like you think we are.

gino

edited for spelling corrections , the views stayed the same LOL..

I am not being silly , just telling it like it is.

Andreas said the list is not real unless you put a deposit (fine with me to put one )coz most of them are not serious. I like the dealership and by far is the best service department in the nation. Kevin and the crew rocks .. not kissing *** here man just telling it the way I see it,

I was just calling you silly cuz... you are? (Yes, I do read MPJ Forums )

hahahah all good man. Just one of those days heheheh....

Carlsen is cool I just dont have any luck with the sales side is all. When I stopped by 2 years ago to get my WRX I got the "no test drive unless you do a credit app/run my credit thing" by the big black nice guy so I got mine at San Jose instead and then now another big white guy with $40 K pricing...hahahahah what is up with me and their sales crew....LOL

Like I said before it only a car and hell it aint even a Ferrari and they make it like it is.

Great place to buy a car there coz the cars are for sure never driven period. Just hate the approach/attitude is all.

cheers

gino

really? my experience with carlsen has been great. when i was getting my RS, i kept calling charles to get updates. he was more than glad to give me updates. i had my car service there only once, but that once was a pretty good experience. my car was ready when i got back. and the warranty work was done.

i doubt you'll find good experience with ron price's service department.
