Talking safe place to park near Rock-it-room in SF?

I am going to a show in the city tomorrow and am curious what the neighborhood around 406 Clement St, San Francisco, CA 94118 is like.
Any good places to park?
Anyone want to lend me their drive way?

Matt,

You can park at my driveway if you want. I live about 7-8 blocks away.

The neighbourhood is fine though...Rockit is a fun bar.

The neighborhood is fine, like mcowger said. However, street parking is quite limited (especially at night).

heh, you must be catching Wolfer's band! I would have gone but unfortunately I have other plans...

btw, in case you're thinking I'm a random nut job, I posted on BAIC looking for a bassist a few years ago and Wolfer used your account to reply.

the neighborhood itself is cool, but don't leave anything remotely valuable in plain sight, and, hopefully, you have an alarm. lotsa kids/car thieves roaming around the richmond.

parking really is that limited at night after 7-8pm.....afternoon, yes, but nights are pretty easy.

I never leave anything even inside the car worth stealing. I do not want to give theives any reason to break in to my car.

smart....some people don't seem to get that ^^^^^ so i had to mention it.

on a semi-related note, if anyone is planning on rolling thru the Richmond on the weekend, esp at night, BRING YOUR beater/small car. Chinese New Year just started today, so it's gonna be a madhouse!

some people still believe that total strangers are good to others. After being robbed, I pretty much don't trust anyone.

Thanks Matt for lending me the drive way!
