Sad WRX Loss... Happy ending - Finally!

True Story - Last month I took a 400 mile road trip down to L.A. and my Sonic Yellow WRX never made it back home. I lost control of my car around a freeway on-ramp and flew into a mud ditch going at least 70 mph. My car flipped 3 times, and landed upside down. Thankfully, I was wearing my seat belt, and opened the door and just crawled out. I felt a bit dizzy when I got out and I had some minor whiplash but all pain went away bout 3 days later. None of the airbags deployed. My Suby saved my life. I am definitely getting another Subaru!

Check out the pics below. The first one was taken after I just put in my morrettes and cleaned the engine bay.

P.S. I was not racing on the freeway.

wow! I am glad that you are okay. So what is happening next? Any trouble dealing with the police and insurance? I hope everything is going smooth for you.

Thanks guys, I filed a police report on the spot, and the car was towed to a local impound lot. The insurance paperwork is slow as molasses.
I couldnt come up with a better story to the CHP, because they almost saw the whole thing in front of them. They were in the slow lane to the freeway I was merging onto at the time. So I had to tell the truth, hehe

Ouch man that sucks. I killed my first WRX in the mountains near Skyline Blvd. Rolled it, then it caught fire. Totally dead, looks even worse than yours, but I came out with only a scratch on my hand from window glass.

Got another WRX as soon as Geico finished dorking around. Of course they tried to double my rates; switched to 21st Century and I'm actually paying less now than I was before the accident.

Glad to hear you're ok. Sucks about your Rex, it was a nice car. Hopefully, you'll have a new soon.

I'm glad to see you both are ok, but hopefully it was lesson to the two of you to learn how to drive.

Sometimes I like to drive from the passenger side. People give me the weirdest looks on the highway. =D

Wow , I wouldnt have even guessed that was an impreza. I got lucky, no scratches at all and no broken bonez. I am prolly gonna switch insurance, I'll look into 21st century. My insurance plan was teh suck, I don't even get a rental right now.

I thought I was in touch with my rex. However, I learned some new lessons from trying to do too much in one day (400 mile drive + fun car meet + 1 pint of beer from TGI friday + overconfidence = rolling off the freeway)
