My friends and I were planning on going to Sac this Friday, but I thought that it might be closed. Is it? If its open, what time do the races start? We've always gone to Sears. Thanks for the help.

Check admission costs for Sac Raceway's test and tune days. They sometimes vary from $40 to $100, or something thereabouts. I paid $40 to go on a Friday evening one day early last year and there were only about 50 other cars there. It was great to get a lot of runs with little waiting around. Sac Raceway will tell you that for street-driven cars there is no guarantee of a lot of runs due to professional drag teams sometimes taking a long time to set up for a run and recover their cars after the chute deploys, but this didn't happen on the evening I went.
