His mph indicates that he is down on power compared with other WRXs. The trap speed doesn't change a whole lot for a given amount of horsepower unless something happens like a missed shift or lifting off the throttle through the traps. I think that most WRXs trap at over 90 mph. The drag strip is a good indicator of engine power.
