GM owns Saab and has a 20-percent stake in Fuji Heavy Industries, which is the parent company of Subaru. So it’s only natural that Saab should take that tasty WRX wagon, slap some Saab-like skin on it and – Hello Uma – Swedish all-wheel perfomance via Japan. Saab will introduce the 9-2X at the L.A. auto show, and it promises to be just about exactly as much fun as the Subaru WRX (even the name is similar). That means 0-60 in about six seconds, all-wheel drive and great fun on the logging roads of suburban Trollhattan or the Maine forest.

Ok just my 2 cents, but the wagon says Impreza, the hood scoop and front bumper say 04 legacy B4 and the only thing that really looks like it came from Saab is the grill. Huh I hope they end up at rental car companies so I can rent one and beat the CARP out of it wwweeeeeeeeeeeee

That thing is RIDICULOUSLY close to being a WRX Wagon with a bodykit on it. They're not just using the "chassis" or "platform" they're just putting a different nose on another brand's car. That's weak.

This poses quite a quandary for me.
I'm a die hard Saab fan & have wasted a lot of $$$ owning several 900 turbos.
The one big disappointment is that the ignition switch is in the wrong location!
Looking at the side shot photo, the car looks "Saab" coming, but "Subaru" going.
