Most of you guys don't realize that the rx8's engine is different than the rx7's engine. It won't be that easy to turbo the car or reliable. It's like taking a NA FC and making it a Turbo 2. Mazda made the rx8 to be NA and thats why they went with bigger rotors. And the rotary has never had good torque but thats why it's redline is 8,000+ rpm. Get a large streetport or bridge port on a 13B rotary and you can rev that up to 9,000-10,000 rpm.

I went and looked at it over the weekend//first think i fell in love with was the seat...they were very comfortable//i like the dash//I checked the engin bay...it didnt look like much room for a nice size turbo kit, but im sure someone will get one in there. the trunk was bigger then i expected. The sales guy mentioned that they were comin back with the RX7 next year or in 2005 w/ turbo. it will be about 45k. I know i wouldnt be able to put out that much. they are also saying they are making a limitd amt of them. I think he said 4000 if i remember correctly. Seems like a nice car but he mention a lot of maintence that comes with the car and i know it wont last in my hands then. I didnt get to drive one but it looks like a sweet car and 10x better with a body kit on it
