Hello all,

I have a question about a problem I am having with my running lights. You know the ones that turn on before your head lights. I think that they are refered to as parking lights as well. But after I had my boost guage looked at today they no longer turn on . I just don't know what is causing it. I have checked all the fuses and all are not blown, I have checked 1 of the lights and it is not blown and none of them turn on. Just the head lights. The break lights work, turn signals work, and backup lights work. But the running/Parking lights don't come on. The sights on the licens plate don't even come on. I just can't figure it out. I didn't knotice it untill later today (of cores after the dealiership closed) after I had taken it.

What exactly did the service department do when they "looked at" your boost gauge? What was wrong with the gauge that caused you to bring the car in?

back loght was not working. we found that the polariry was backwards from my crappy install i did. I bought my boost guage from a Iclub member and it came w/out everything needed. The boost guage had been cliped off and so I didn't have the wireing harnew to use. The boost guage had an incondensent light so Polarity didn't mater. And I needed to get a T to splice into the vacume line. I then had to get the guage replaced because it started to buz at around 0mpa. I brought it to the Dealiership and they replaced it with a new one. I didn't knotice that the guage didn't light up untill the next weekend and took it back and they couldn't find out why so they reordered. That is where we were yesterday. They replaced the guage and no lights again. We tested the power and it is getting power. Then we tested the polarity and found that I had it reversed and did a test and found that with the correct polarity it works. So they buttoned up the stearing colum back up and left it as is.

 

Well, I took it back to the dealer today and they found a cable got pulled out accedently and that was the one for the parking/marker lights. They reconnected it and it is now working just fine. They also replaced the boost guage again and this one works I have to say Santa Cruz Subaru ROCKS! They took the time today to find out what the issue was and was really cool about it.
