i've heard many complaints from fellow wrx owners that lately other wrx owners don't give them the "wave" back. i've also experienced this and i don't (sometimes) bother to try to wave. (waving without a response back usually does that to you...)

anyhow, i've came up with a few set rules that a wrx must have before giving them the "wave" from me. one rule is good enough, but a combination of rules give you a higher chance of that recognition.

1.) modded wrx. includes; kits, clear corners, BOV, aftermarket rims, daylight headlight removal and exhaust.

2.) window stickers from gruppe-s or any other group.

3.) an asian male driver. i know there are a few non-asian wrx drivers, but to my knowledge... none has even bothered to wave back. i also know there are at least 2-3 female drivers in the bay area but trust me, they have no clue what i-club is and giving the wave just make you look like you're hitting on them.

4.) a wrx that slows down to let you catch up or speeds up to catch up to you.

5.) and of course, if they wave first.

dude uh sorry but id say 75% of subaru owners aren’t on the net. and could care less, i myself wave and im a ******! (not asian)...

im a girl and i wave to every WRX or RS owner, asian driver or not, modded or not. i have love for all subie drivers!

 

i wasn't trying to offend anyone. if i did, i'm sorry. i was merely posting a set of (my) rules that i follow.

you have to also understand that i specifically mentioned only WRXs and those who live the bay area.

too bad you're in santa barbara. i saw two female wrx owners in berkeley and both times i gave them the nod. but to my dismay, no response whatsoever.

 

i wave to all subys regardless of the wave back, mostly to wrx group, but there a few forresters and legacys that wave to say what's up.

waving makes you look like a homo, throw a peace sign or a thumbs up to fellow WRX drivers

I just wave to every hot girl I see in a car, walking, jogging...


Oh I also wave to every subaru I see, usually don't get a wave/peace sign back, but oh well
