And it hasn't been THAT wet. It's been hovering around 30 degrees all day plus wind chill so it's probably not half bad. I'd say what falls from now through tomorrow morning is gonna be money.
The snow is gonna be sick for early season snow. I'd still be very careful where you venture off to though. Rock coverage just isn't there yet. I think base is like less than 3 feet over there.
But there should be PLENTY of pow on run and on the fringes Sunday/Monday.

With tires like that it's not just the tread that is an issue it's the compound. It'll freeze up and get hard. Chains will take care of that but are you going to run chains on all 4 wheels? Because the 2 that don't have chains are going to be all over the place.
And with the compound freezing up at low temps you'll be a hazard on the road well before the conditions are safe to have chains.
I would either pick up another set of wheels with SNOW tires on them or get some nice all season m/s rated tires as a compromise.
So you can have 2 nice sets of wheels. One summer. One winter. Or you can have 1 nice set of wheels with summer tires on them and one crap set (narrower) with dedicated snow tires. If I was going to run 2 sets of wheels that's what I'd do.
If you can't afford that just pick up some good M/S tires and some chains.
