Just so you know, and anybody else who doesn't know, its a $400 fine if you get stopped and aren't carrying chains. New law that took affect this year. That's a lot to pay considering chains are like $40.

Just got back from Sierra @ Tahoe. You won't need snow tires or chains, 50 was clear all the way up. Just snow in the parking lots. Check the Caltrans road conditions website to get info on chain restrictions on the road to Squaw.

I shouldn't have rode today. I overestimated my speed for two cliffs and way overshot in the flats. My back is in horrible pain.

Damn those flat Dodge Ridge landings!

The alley is so sick at Sierra right now. Most practical set up I've seen there in 3 years. Lots of jibs n jumps that you actually can get enuf speed for. I'll be back next weekend, until then boreal on Wednesday night

Lost another one... this is a cousin of a guy on another forum I'm on.

Here's the write up if you guys are interested.
http://www.bclocalnews.com/news/117117208.html

Tree wells are a scary place and this can happen 10 feet from a publicly used run at any resort. So be careful out there. Girl that went down at Alpine was in a tree well on a run.

Well, add that to more places that I don't know the name of. I am sure I have been through Manzanita Bowl, but don't know it by name. I am pretty sure I know what you are talking about for Elevator Shaft/Separator.

And by the way, mo powda for this weekend. They are expecting about a foot on Wed and a couple inches for Thursday. I will be up for Fri-Sat barring unforeseen things. If you are down, I am for meeting up on Friday so the crowds don't suck as much.

Friday looks good based on the weather forecast. I hope my back will feel better though. I'm in a world of pain right now.
