Road Block on N1st st and Skyport in Downtown San Jose

Watch out theres a "survey ahead" road block on N 1st st, passing Skyport dr. for those of you who take that way. I was headed to work around 11:22am when I was stuck there. Glad there I wasn't as close yet, so made a detour into the business parking lot and shot out the other way. Saw a cop opening and closing a passenger door of a dodge minivan and searching inside. Nope, not gonna play those games. I got footage too.

I used to work on Metro and Technology, so 1 block from there. I wonder what it was? Sony is right there. Why would they need to shut it down for survey? Problem with light rail? Bomb threat?

read up on these "random " roadside smog checks. you have the right to refuse, and rightly so. I live in the north bay and have friends who NEVER have to smog thier cars because they live in a more rural area than " densely populated" Santa rosa. I'm Sick of regulations that apply to some and not others. I breath the same goddamn air as those who live 8 miles away. it makes me Sick to see some tweaker beating black smoke out of his pickup while I pay good money to have my car pass smog. just say no, laws are unjust when applied arbitrarily. you really think they are gonna let a wrx or sti slide through thier random sample... Lol Please.

That's gotta be one of the dumbest things ever. I wonder how many people were late to wherever they had to be because of this.
