Just read that Marco Simoncelli passed away today from injuries he sustained at the Sepang race today. Both Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi were also involved in the incident. Colin suffered a shoulder injury and Rossi was able to ride away into the pits.

Wonder how how he lost control as he didn't wash any tires. Looks like Rossi did the final blow as his bike went over the chest and knocked the helmet off.
I will never forget his awesome fro.

Some say that he lost traction on his front wheel, started to go down on a lowside and somehow the front wheel regained traction and just pulled him in that direction.

Why was he hanging so low? His head was already near the tarmac as it was. And the the helmet splitting and the second bike running over his torso....... Goddamn, it's been a bad week for motorsports....
Because he was exiting the turn and still at full lean, and trying to get upright when the mishap happened and threw him off. He was probably trying to ride it through while hanging on.

R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli
