Question Rim Of The World Rally ( May 2-3, 2003 ) - Who's Going?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out if I can join a caravan down to RotW and split a hotel room with some peeps to cut down on my costs as I will have just returned from my Germany trip (read = broke as all heck.)

So if you don't mind, please answer these questions!

1. When are you leaving for/returning from RotW?

2. Will you be driving your own car or carpooling down (if carpooling, with who)?

3. What are your hotel arrangements?

Thanks!

Aya

I'm also thinking about it...

If i went, I wouldn't be driving down, i'd hitch a ride. Cause my ride isn't all that special anyway.

We're there and have a stand arranged.

1) Leaving the Bay Area Thursday AM returning Sunday midday ish (depends on the hangover)

2) Will have 3-5 shop cars (joint venture with Gruppe-S)

3) Going all out on the expenses and staying at the Mootel 6.

Omg, if you can, stay away from the motel 6 man... bad, bad news. I had to call cops because the people working there were so crooked.

Anyway, if I go, I'm going to fly. Airfare is cheaper than driving. $70 round trip. Can't beat that. (Considering a tank of gas is $30!!)

Actually Burbank airport is pretty close to there. DO NOT fly LAX. I'm actually considering flying in also.

In that case, I might fly... i dunno. I dunno if i'm even going... I can also still hitch a ride, and pay for half the costs..

But it would be interesting to get picked up by a SCIC person...

If we can get 8 guys flying in, we can rent a Chevy Suburban for about $200 for 3 days!
