wow I haven't looked at apple computers for a long time and totally have lost the grasp of the used market. I use to buy and sell apple computers all the time, I've owned just about every single mac at one point or another, 6100 powerpc on until about the sawtooth g4's never got a quicksilver and newer, interesting...although why not get a mac mini with core duo...that is phat! sure it cost more but you can dual boot!

is it a standard laptop 2.5" IDE harddrive that you would find in a PC laptop?
If so get a converter for the hard drive (like 5 bucks at compusa) and get the empty HD enclosure from compusa for like 30 bucks. the converter cable makes it capable of hooking up to a standard size IDE plug.

i had one of those enclosures and it works great.

Yeah I was thinking of getting a 2.5" enclosure deal. That way I can carry it wherever. Is the Iogear one good?

OWC enclosures are great and have an awesome reputation. Also check newegg.com for some cheaper solutions. I'm using an AMS Venus enclosure for my factory 80 gig hard drive that came with my dual G4 (obviously it's a 3.5" enclosure, duh, so it barely applies to your situation). It works awesome. Screwless design too (pop off the shell, connect the drive, put it back together, and fire it up!). I previous was some cheapo one and that thing died on me. Thankfully the data wasn't damaged.

I'm thinking about selling my dual G4 1.25ghz Mac for one of those dual core Mac Minis.

Actually I walked by his dad that was in his library/office (walnut bookcases and everything). His homie with a car was there waiting for me to get there so they can head out.
