reverse intake manifold

anyone have any experience with this?

Im about to undertake this so my G can accept straight-inlet turbos

i hear its alot of work and the cost of fabrication isnt worth the power gains.

Yeah, Im not looking for power gains, really, just the ability to choose more than just the TD05H-16G with 90* bend.

Also, Id like the shorter FMIC piping and I already have an intake manifold and TB that I received from an awesome fellow i-clubber.

Im just trying to get an idea of the custom fab required or if it just bolts on. Im doing a few things, going from an EJ20G to EJ20K intake manifold and TB, FMIC, new turbo and new intake. I have the manifold and turbo is on order. I am thinking about geting a FMIC core and doing custom pipes all the way around.

Do I need to mod my fuel rails or injectors or anything else? or do I have it pretty well covered?

What year is all the peripheral parts on your car?

Engine: 1996 EJ20G (STi 555 Wagon) with stock injectors, fuel rails walbro 255lph fuel pump
Intake Manifold: 1998 v4 STi (TB, intake plenum fuel rails and hoses)
Turbo: vf30

I would need to see it to confirm so if you get a chance (I will be here from 9am until late tomorrow) swing by I would be happy to take a look at it and give any advise I can.
