So what would everyone say is the better method

- Oven bake them open, blow dryer and pry method, or (some suggest) razorblade-type deal and gentleness.

I bake'em and pry 'em open. The sealant that is in there is some pretty sticky stuff. Once you get it sarted it goes pretty easy.

U just want to clear them out? Cause I have got a pair of JDM headlights.. just like the USDM kind but without the yellow marker if you want. I was goign to return them because they send this to me by mistake. If you want to buy them let me know.

Werd. I've opened up 10+ sets of lights using this method, its the quickest and easiest, I havn't melted a single one yet

This includes several suby lights, lexus, evo, land rover, etc

hate to threadjack, but if anyone has done an HID projector retrofit i'm looking for a hand. projector in to 06 housing. i'm already running philips 4100k HIDs in the stock projectors but the cutoff just isn't as sharp (obviously, since using halogen projectors) as i would like.... trying to figure out how much it would set me back vs. buying some 06 STI headlights.
