Hey all,
I posted this question in the interior exterior section as well. Just thought you guys might know the answer and respond quicker.
I just bought a pair of replica CF side markers and was going to install them. FIrst off they seem pretty flimsy, are all replica CF side markers just a piece of flimsy plastic with some 3M tape on the back? After one puts on the side markers, by taking off the 3M tape cover, what does one do with the bulb that used to be in the OEM side marker? Does one just leave it right where it is? I only ask because I'm a little worried about water. The OEM bulb has a gasket that seals tightly within the OEM orange side maker, and the new side marker just sticks to the car. So any insights you guy/gals might have would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks,
JJ

i bought some replicas off of ebay and when i got them, i found out the guy sent me the real stuff ^^
you just take the bulb off, wrap the connector in a plastic bag, let it be a a sandwich bag or cut up walmart bag, wrap some duct tape around it, and tuck the wires back....ala ghetto installation
the side marker is pretty strong, but i got the real stuff, so ^^;;; 3m tape is strong though...it'll work

the replica cf side markers that gruppe-s sells is just a badge type piece. You remove the backing that protects the tape then just slap it on where your old sidemarkers were.

Thanks guys for your help...guess I'm gonna do the ghetto installation. BTW danhtao, the real STI CF side markers, do those actually clip into the hole where the OEM orange side markers originally clipped into?
