Anyone have Es 100's go to reno while it was snowing yet? How was it? I'm going this Sunday and i'm a bit worried.

Last week I drove to and from Wyoming from California on AVS ES 100s. At least 20% of the drive was on ice coated roads, and another 20% snow covered roads. It was a little slippery, but I made it without any problems. Didn't need chains. Just be careful and drive smart.

I hit a good snow storm and wet/snowy roads on a day excursion to Reno from Sac. It was interesting in AVS ES100s but the AWD held its own. Braking can be a little tricky once you release the power/gas. Slippage did occur on some downhill parts of the road. Overall, I felt good about hitting the snowy hills in my Yokos.

do they have "M+S" on the sidewall?

if not- they might make you put on chains if it's snowing!

they aren't m+s, or if they are, they shouldnt be. they are absolutely ****ty in the snow. we had to get chains, we couldnt keep the car straight.

Hey! They weren't THAT bad man! LoL

OK, they weren't that great either, but I heard everyone who went anywhere near snow zones last weekend got ****ed with road conditions. I think there must've been a cm or two of ice on the roads up by Dodge Ridge last weekend, and starting from a stop was certainly not a fun thing.

If you're dealing with actual snowy roads you'll need chains, if the roads are somewhat well maintained you ought to be OK I think.
