Mt. Hamilton was great because of the amount of people, cars, great food and because of the fact the weather was great.
I was just wondering why we don't have other annual/semi-annual meets when the weather is great!?! I just thought it was really cool seeing all those subbies together on the freeway and to meet new people and shoot the sheit.
So why not plan more of these events in different locations everyone can agree on while we still have our cars and the weather is great? and im not talking about the KK meets because those suck for family and friends
I'm not sure how the Mt. Hamilton organizers did in regard to funds but those types of events are good for family, Gf's and wives because it's not a "sausage fest" and you can convince them that they're going to have a good time... and it seemed like most did
*anyone else feel the same way?
*and does anyone wanna try something new on top of the annual MT.Hamilton meet?
*anyone have any ideas?

I'm sure most of us feel the same way and would like to have more "family" style meets but it's hard to make everyone happy. Everyone has different ideas about 1) where it is, 2) what to do there, 3) where is the $ coming from. If you rent a place and no one shows you're screwed.
Try contacting other Subaru clubs, not just Impreza and see about support

I was thinking more on the lines of somewhere fun that we don't have to really budget.
Like D&B's where we met for the caravan before Mt.hamilton. we could all meet in the big parking lot, look at cars and play at D&B's. even go for a drive and have caravans from different spots to D&B's.
i live in Sac but am up for anything.

It'd be a 2 day event... Sat would be Drag/Auto X and Sunday would be Track Day. This would be a tuner-smackdown... stilll a lot of planning to do... so nothing is positive. So far, I have about 4 people helping me, From socal, AZ, TX, and here in the BA.

remember, take this thread with a grain of salt, as there is A LOT of planning ahead of me... I need to meet with some tuners/shops before hand... etc, etc. The track is like 5k to rent (I think), so we're gonna need some dough through advertising, etc (Sponsers, etc, etc, ). Hell, this might not even happen... and if it doesn't, I have something else up my sleave.
